If you're thinking of buying a capable digital SLR but are on a tight budget, consider my Nikon D70 (not D70s) with AF-S Zoom-Nikkor ED 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G IF DX lens. This was my first digital SLR, but I'm letting it go because I have too many cameras!

This is a complete set which you can use to do almost any type of photography. It has several functions that are not even available in the newer, higher-priced D40 and D40x. Using just the built-in flash, the D70 can trigger slave flash units via CLS (Creative Lighting System). The D40 and D40x cannot.
